Don’t think I will spend any more time on XP. It’s mid 2017, XP is long gone and flash drives cost very little. If one so much need to install XP and use NTFS, can always use another stick. Multipartition USB hard disk or stick if it is of fixed type (many recent are, flipping the bit also works) is also option, have the first partition FAT32 and the rest NTFS.
