Alongside last week’s updates of After Effects and Premiere Pro came a new version of Adobe Media Encoder, 2015.2. Al MooneyAl Mooney is the senior Product Manager for video editing at Adobe.

He is responsible for the overall strategy of video editing and content creation, from mobile to desktop. Before Adobe Al worked for Apple in the UK as the Senior Video development manager. He originally studied audio engineering, working in that industry for many years, before developing an interest in video editing.

Al moved to the US from the UK 5 years ago to work for Adobe. His main interests outside of work are music, cats, video games and Doctor Who. But mostly cats. Hey there, Al!Quick question I have updated to 2015.2, or the 9.2.0.26, but it is still repeating the audio at the end of every video, where there should be silence.

I have the Import Sequences Natively checked, I’ve messed with audio outputs, every work around I’ve found online for this. The only thing that works is to put a silent audio clip in there. We export about a hundred clips a day (about a minute a piece), so re-importing audio to clip off the end isn’t an option. Was wondering if I was just doing something wrong on this?Another issue I’ve been having is that once an encode is done, Encoder needs to be closed before it will work properly again. What happens is that anything that is imported to Encoder from Premiere encodes as if it hasn’t been edited.

I remember this being an issue in older versions of Encoder if you didn’t save the Premiere project before moving it over, but that issue seemed to have resolved itself around V7, if I’m not mistaken.Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated! I’d probably build a shrine in my edit bay to whoever has the answer! Thanks for reading!Kevin Kefgen.

We currently have our Master files saved as 10-bit Uncompressed files and we use FCP7 in our daily workflow. We do, however, also have access to Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder and I notice that there is a preset in AME which fits the braodcaster's requirements perfectly (MXF OP1a (IMX 30 PAL)).However, when I run the file through AME and view it in Premiere alongside the Uncompressed 10-bit Master, I see that there is a noticeable colour shift between the Master and the new.mxf export. Is this something that people have experience of, or even better, know how to overcome?.
