Bosch Kts 520 Software
Hello,i find the bosch esitronic program quite interesting, and i´ve been already talking to several users about use and working with the program.i´ve got a warning which i´d like to discuss / confirm here. Is it right, that some cracked esi versions work fine on your laptop, and when you connect with the KTS device the cracked software shuts down the device and makes it unuseable.has anyone heard about that? Freaking fcc family guy. Especially it should happen when a lot of updates and extra modules are installed. I´m very interested in your point of view.
Who uses a KTS device and has made some updates / changes and still everything is fine? Who has produced a damaged KTS? Or is this warning just 'bullshit'?best regards,Whey!

What esi-version?I never heard about this. Imagine all the original dealer kts-units broken by a serial number typing mistake. I don't will this help to anybody but hey i'm going to tell you anyway, just recently i was asked by workshop owner to install esitronic and set it up to work via Bluetooth, it was kts 540 genuine with paid licence but I got carried away and forgot to install from his dvd-s and by force of habit install it from image files with patch and keygen. Everything went well, firmware update, Bluetooth connection and diagnostics.
So accidentally i mixed genuine with cracked, works OK so far. I hope somebody find this helpful.br. (, 10:48 PM)paro44 Wrote: (, 08:55 PM)Whey!

And i think it wasn´t meant that the program crashes the KTS by mistyping any keys. As far as i know the problem should only appear when a cracked program is used.best regards,Whey! (, 08:59 PM)Whey!

As far as i know the problem should only appear when a cracked program is used.best regards,Whey!I think the difference between genuine and non genuine installation is only the source you get the key from. Installation files are the same, so there is no cracked software (apart from that patched.exe to prevent closing after some minutes).
The Euro 5 standard governs model approval for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and allows access to repair information for vehicles.According to the standard, diesel-operated vehicles can only emit 180 milligrams of nitric oxide (NOx) per kilometer – instead the current allowance of 250. The permissible emission of soot particles is lowered: Instead of 25 milligrams per kilometer, now only five. Nitric oxide emissions are limited to 60 milligrams per kilometer for gasoline engines (formerly 80). These requirements for model approval have been standardized throughout the European Union. At the same time, vehicle manufacturers have a duty to inform workshops.
The Euro 5 standard applies to all new models made since September 2009. For ECU reprogramming, only testers that are already Euro 5-compatible can be used. These are devices in which a so-called 'PassThru Interface according to SAE J2534' is integrated. The PassThru standard describes a driver used for reprogramming ECUs.
Bosch offers the KTS modules 530/540/570 and the testers KTS 340/670 for this purpose. But the KTS 520/550 modules and the KTS 650 tester used in many workshops are also Euro 5-compatible. If necessary, all named devices can install the respective current software version from the online portal of the vehicle manufacturer in the ECU of the vehicle. The vehicle manufacturers charges a fee for downloading data for ECU reprogramming. The full package for the KTS series is proverbial: ECU diagnostics (SD), troubleshooting instructions (SIS), Technical Service Bulletin (TSB), mechanical information and maintenance plans (M), electrical wiring diagrams (P) and all Bosch spare parts are already available via ESItronic.

Everything at one stop: Only with Bosch. In the case of competitors, a charge may be made for downloading these services from the online portal of the vehicle manufacturer. The bottom line is the Bosch solution is better.
The ECU reprogramming now makes the KTS series conclusively the all around best equipped solution for the workshop. This is what counts!
